 On-the-Stove Burger Making Instructions

No grill? No issue! Here's how to cook a fantastic burger on the stove indoors. It can be improved with a fast seasoning mix that is optional.

Ingredients :

For the spice mix for burgers (optional)

  • 1 kosher salt tablespoon
  • One teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered garlic

To make the simple burger sauce

  • Mayonnaise, 1/4 cup
  • 1/9 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/fourth cup ketchup

To make the burgers

  • 1 lb. of ground chuck (90:10)

For serving

  • 3 brioche or potato buns
  • American cheese in six slices
  • Lubricant spray
  • A head of green lettuce
  • Sliced red onion, thin
  • Freshly sliced tomato, thin

STEPS :

     1. Make the burger seasoning mix, which is optional :

Prepare the seasoning blend before you begin cooking. Mix the salt, pepper, and garlic powder in an exceedingly bowl. Place aside.

     2. Creating the sauce :

Mix the mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup thoroughly in a separate small bowl. Place aside.

     3. Create the burgers :

Set a sizable, robust skillet over medium heat to preheat (cast iron works best).

Make three 1/3-pound patties from the ground beef by loosely dividing it. Put a divot in the middle of each patties to prevent expanding in the middle after shaping into discs that are approximately 1/2 inch thick. If using, season the patties with 1/2 teaspoon of spice mix on each side.

     4. Burger preparation :

Open a window and run the fan over the stove to increase ventilation.

Place burgers in the skillet after lightly misting with nonstick cooking spray. With a spatula, apply pressure to each patty for 10 seconds. This will promote browning.

The burgers should be cooked for 4 minutes over medium heat. To ensure that the initial side has a good crust, avoid touching them too much. Flip the burgers with a firm metal spatula, making sure to scrape up any caramelization with the burger.

     5. Burgers are flipped :

After flipping the burgers, add the cheese, if using, and cook for a further 3 minutes, or until the desired degree of doneness is achieved, which is typically medium.

If you are making just one burger, you can toast the buns in the same skillet as your patty, or if you are making several burgers at once, you can toast them separately.

For the final minute of cooking, cover the burgers with a lid to get the cheese completely melted.

     6. Burger construction and serving :

Put some burger sauce on each bun before assembling your burgers. Burgers should be placed on the bottom bun, followed by lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and the top bun. Serve right away with a cool beverage.
