 Cheese Fig Puff Pastry Bites


You've found it if you're seeking for a simple, salty, and sweet snack for the holidays. Though distinct, the flavor is delicate.



Ingredients :

  • A half (17.3 ounce) container of thawed frozen puff pastry, such Pepperidge Farm
  • A half (5.2 ounce) box of spreadable cheese with caramelized onions and herbs, such as Boursin cheese
  • 1/fourth cup fig preserves
  • 1 tablespoon of freshly chopped thyme


STEPS :

     Step 1 :

Set the kitchen appliance to four hundred degrees Gabriel Daniel Fahrenheit (200 degrees C). A baking sheet ought to be coated with parchment paper.


     Step 2 :

Roll out the puff pastry sheet to a 10x10-inch square on a lightly dusted work surface. Cut 16 rounds from the dough with a 2-inch biscuit or cookie cutter.


     Step 3 :

When you transfer the pastry rounds to the baking sheet, make sure to firmly push your thumb into the center of each one. About half a spoonful of cheese should be placed in each depression.


     Step 4 :

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the top is flaky and golden brown, in a preheated oven.


     Step 5 :

In the meantime, microwave the fig preserves in a small bowl for approximately a minute, or until they soften and begin to melt.


     Step 6 :

Take the baking sheet out of the oven and let it cool for two minutes. Sprinkle some chopped thyme on top as a garnish and drizzle some of the melted fig preserves on top.
